After two and a half years as CEO of the West Ohio Food Bank (WOFB), Gary Bright will be leaving to return to work for Century Health in Findlay / Hancock County.  There, Mr. Bright will be acting as an Emergency Services Therapist as well as working with their Fund Development Committee.

For this interim period, The West Ohio Food Bank Board of Directors has named Brian Van Meter and Tommie Harner as Interim Co-Executive Directors.  They will both be working with Gary and the WOFB Board on a transition plan to ensure that all of the organization’s operations are effectively covered and maintained until a permanent replacement can be named.  An announcement will be made at a later date about the search process for a permanent CEO.

Over the past two and a half years, the West Ohio Food Bank has made great strides in its hunger relief efforts, improving its fiscal stability, expanding hunger awareness and its own brand awareness, and addressing some major capital improvements all while expanding services to the community.  However, especially during this interim period, the community’s support will be needed now more than ever so that they can continue and expand their good work.  Please contact the WOFB at 419-222-7946 or through their website at www.wofb.org to find out how you can help.
