Shopping Spree and Myrtle Beach vacation trip rules

Your ten dollar donation to the West Ohio Food Bank will help so many….and provide you with a chance to win a 90 second “Shopping Spree” at one of the areas Community Market or Great Scot Stores plus a second chance drawing in August 2012 at the end of this promotion. The store to be shopped will also be selected and announced the day of the drawing. Check the list of participating stores at the bottom of this page.

The winner is responsible for their transportation to and from the participating store and / or the Myrtle Beach vacation trip.

There will be one (1) “Shopping Spree” per month November 2011 through July 2012. [Nine (9) total “Shopping Sprees”] A maximum of 500 tickets will be sold each month and participants can enter any monthly drawing more than once.  Participants are encouraged to enter the “Shopping Spree” contest each month. All non-winning names from all nine drawings will be entered into a second chance drawing on August 8, 2012 for a Vacation trip to Myrtle Beach South Carolina.

 The winner and participating store for that month will be announced on the Lima Clear Channel Radio stations and their web sites as well as the West Ohio Food Bank Web site. Additionally, the winner and all participants will receive an email notifying them of the winner and the shopping location selected for that months “Shopping Spree”.

So here’s what you do.

Click on the “Shopping Spree” Button and make your ten dollar ($10.00) donation. An additional fee of -$0.50 will be added to your donation to cover the processing fee. Your total cost will be $10.50.

Tickets are also available at the West Ohio Food Bank.

You will receive an email confirmation of your donation and provide you with a copy of the rules and regulations that you must agree to as an entrant in this contest.  The email also serves as your ticket to the “Shopping Spree” contest. There will be one winner selected each month.

The winner will be notified approximately 7 days before the “Shopping Spree” as well as the name and directions to the selected store.

Clear Channel radio will broadcast from the store on the day of the “Shopping Spree” and the winner agrees that they will be interviewed by a Clear Channel radio personality either before or after the “Shopping Spree”.

All participants in the contest understand that your name and contact information will be used by the West Ohio Food Bank and Fresh Encounters and its subsidiaries, the sponsor of this contest,  for future contact and solicitations.

• Shopper must be 18 years or older.

• If the winner is unable to shop, they may designate a person (18+) to shop in their place.

• The spree is to occur during a time agreed upon by the charity, the shopper and the store.

• A representative from the charity must be present for the spree.

 

Rules & Regulations During Spree

• The shopper may only use one shopping cart.

• The spree will begin at the front of the store, with a signal to start.

• The shopper is not authorized to organize products before the event. This is grounds for disqualification or exclusion of products from total winnings.

• No tobacco products, alcohol products, medications or service items in the cart.

• The shopper may select only two of any one item. Example: Two Ground Beefs pkgs., two ground round pkgs., two ground chuck pkgs. Two watermelons, two cans of Folger’s Coffee etc. Different flavors/varieties are not allowed within one category. Exclusions also include weighted items (deli meat & produce).

• A contest official will announce 15 second intervals over PA system.

• The shopper must be within 20 feet of designated checkout lane at the 90-second mark or they are disqualified.

• The store manager will be the final judge on any rulings with regards to allowable items.

• All decisions by manager are final.

• The shopper must pay taxable income if winnings over $1,000.00

 

Second chance drawing details and rules

There will be one winner selected from all entrants in the entire shopping spree program.

Your vacation package includes the following;

4 days and 3 nights’ accommodations at the Sands Ocean Club Resort in Myrtle Beach SC

Admission for two to the following attractions;”Family Kingdom Amusement Park, Family Kingdom Water Park, Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum. Ripley’s Aquarium, Ripley’s 4-D Moving Theatre, and Ripley’s Haunted Adventure. Meals, Taxes, Transportation, Gratuities and miscellaneous expenses are not included.

The West Ohio Food Bank, Fresh Encounters. Great Scott Stores and Community Markets as well as Clear Channel Radio and its stations and all employees of any of the participants assume no responsibility for winners of the “Shopping Sprees” or the vacation trip.

 All winnings must be reported as income.

Ticket purchase constitutes acceptance of all rules supporting the contest.
